If you want to find the BPM of a song in Logic Pro, follow these steps :
Step 1 : Load a song in an audio slot, for this example, I have loaded calvin harris' single "We'll be coming back"
Step 2 : Cut and delete the silence before the start of the song
Step 3 : Move the song to the first beat in Logic so it starts on the beat
Step 4 : Insert the BPM meter in your audio "mixer" (you will find it in metering>BPM)
Step 5 : Play the song and look at the BPM on the insert, enter it the bottom pane,
play the song and check if each beat is aligned to the ticks which indicate beats.
If it is wrong, play it again ad the BPM insert will change!
